What is Thermal Imaging?

Thermal imaging uses infrared camera technology to see things the naked eye cannot. Infrared cameras produce images based on the heat objects give off. By being able to see into this invisible spectrum of light, thermal imaging can help detect temperature differences to see air leaks, find areas of inadequate insulation and inspect water leaks. Areas near exterior openings, ceilings and walls that differ significantly in temperature from the remainder of the home are usually indicators of leaks and insufficient insulation.
