Accurate-Airtight Enclosures (A-AE) has been involved in the construction industry since 1998.  Originally a residential and light commercial construction company. In the early 2000’s Accurate-Airtight became one of the first companies in the Midwest to begin testing and repairing commercial building envelopes. Upon the arrival of the company’s new ownership in 2015 by an experienced envelope testing agent and commercial energy auditor an additional layer of building envelope experience was added.  Over the last 25 years A-AE has had someone at the helm that was a pioneer in commercial building envelope testing and repair.  We have been at the forefront of envelope repair and design before most individuals knew what an air barrier was.  Through years of being in the dark corners of buildings, places most people do not go, we see close-up the building details and flaws that are critical to how a building performs. Our “hands-on” experience and expertise at building testing gives a perspective that is different from that of an architect or engineer.

A-AE was created to assist building owners decrease their operating costs and energy consumption while maintaining a robust building enclosure system to increase the life of the building.  Through comprehensive air barrier and water penetration testing, we verify the integrity of building envelopes, identify potential issues before they become costly failures, and provide the data needed to make informed decisions.  Our years of experience being on the forefront of air barrier testing and having completed 1000’s of comprehensive energy audits has allowed us to see buildings in ways that many other firms are not able to that have not spent decades climbing around buildings.
